Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
This is the privacy policy for slopshops.ai. It describes what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. Please read it carefully.
Who we are
slopshops.ai is operated by Donald Frank Brinkman Jr. as a sole proprietor based in Washington, United States. You can reach us at [email protected] for any questions about this policy or about your data.
What we collect
When you submit the waitlist form on slopshops.ai, we collect:
- The email address you provide
- The optional free-text "vibe" note you provide, if any
- A one-way hash derived from your IP address and email (we do not store your raw IP address)
- The two-letter country code associated with your network connection, as reported by Cloudflare
- The User-Agent string sent by your browser
- The timestamp of your submission
We do not use cookies on slopshops.ai. We do not use third-party analytics on slopshops.ai. We do not embed tracking pixels or social media widgets.
Why we collect it
We use this information for the following purposes:
- To contact you about slopshops, including updates about the project, the eventual launch, and related news
- To prevent abuse of the waitlist form, including automated submissions and rate-limit violations
- To understand the rough geographic distribution of interest in the project
- To deduplicate signups so the same email address is not stored multiple times
The legal basis for processing under GDPR, where it applies, is your consent, given by submitting the form after being notified that submission constitutes consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us (see "Your rights" below). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as the slopshops.ai waitlist is active, plus a maximum of two years after your last interaction with us, after which we delete it. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so promptly.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
We do use service providers who process the data on our behalf in order to operate the site:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the worker that handles the form submission. Cloudflare may retain operational logs that contain technical metadata about your request.
- The email service provider we eventually use to send you updates will receive your email address. We have not yet selected a provider; when we do, we will update this policy.
We will share information when required by law, when needed to protect our rights or the rights of others, or in connection with a future business transaction (such as if slopshops.ai is later operated by a company we form for that purpose).
Where it is stored
slopshops.ai is operated from the United States, and your information is stored in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which has different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction. By submitting the form, you consent to this transfer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information
- Withdraw your consent to our processing
- Object to our processing
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your country
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
slopshops.ai is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including hashing IP addresses before storage and limiting access to the underlying data store. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization. We will notify affected users if a breach occurs that requires notification under applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify waitlist members by email.
